The Job

 

The General Manager for Asia is responsible for developing and agreeing the business strategy in Asia and implementing the strategy through existing and new Distributor partners.

 

Key demands of job:

 

Existing Markets:

  • Develop and agree with existing distributors (Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan) annual business plan.
  • Develop and manage ongoing performance of these distributors
  • Identify and implement changes to distributors when required
  • Liaise between markets and the Company on forecasting, product availability, sales and marketing materials, legal, regulatory
  • Develop and implement trade strategies in each market
  • Liaise with marketing to ensure implementation of brand positioning and marketing strategy
  • Ensure innovation and renovation needs of the markets are communicated into the Company
  • Stay abreast of competitive market and provide feedback to the Company

 

New Markets:

  • Develop entry strategy for new key and venture markets within Asia
  • Identify, train and manage ongoing performance of these distributors to deliver against the strategy
  • Identify and implement changes to distributors when required
  • Liaise between markets and the Company on forecasting, product availability, sales and marketing materials, legal, regulatory
  • Develop and implement trade strategies in each market
  • Liaise with marketing to ensure implementation of brand positioning and marketing strategy
  • Ensure innovation and renovation needs of the markets are communicated into the Company
  • Stay abreast of competitive market and provide feedback to the Company

 

Other:

  • Build key relationships with pan Asian Customers
  • Ensure all partners work within The Company’s “Greater Good” business model
  • Attend and promote the company at key Trade Shows within the region
  • Act as advocate for Asian Markets to broader company
  • Manage P&L to deliver revenue and profit targets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Company’s International team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other key stakeholders with the Company
  • Keep all partners abreast of the Company’s business strategy

 

 

The Applicant

 

Qualified candidate should possess a Graduate Level Education, with Asian background, with 10 years experience of Sales and Marketing in Asia and managing distributors and cultural fit with the Company and Asian intermediaries. Has strong Leadership to people and teams, a self starter and results orientated. Has the ability to get results through others and on own initiative without supervision. A team player, experienced coach and able to travel extensively in the region.
