Job Description:

Strong liaison will be required to balance the expectations of Product Development team in the UK, Purchasing Dept and Service and QC Dept in the UK, coupled with excellent supply chain and project management skills.

Provide interface with China supply base with a strong focus upon continuous improvement in areas of Quality, Cost and Delivery.

Research, audit and approve suppliers to set company standards, identify synergies within the supply base and ensuring suppliers are compliant with all specifications for designated products;

Report directly to UK Group Purchasing Director, and carry out inwards inspections, online inspections and final inspections at suppliers facilities;

Actively participate in supplier negotiation.

Achieve best competitive price, ensuring the set quality and supply standards and any special terms of the purchase order are achieved;

Candidate Requirements:

• Essential to your success as the Quality Engineer will be your previous quality engineering experience gained from within a manufacturing environment.

• You must also have an degree in Production Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.

• As a Quality Engineer you should also have knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality improvement techniques, ISO 9001:2000, and audit experience. Additionally, you will be a good communicator, who has an organised and accurate approach, with good IT skills.

• Your will be Fluent in English and Chinese.
