Your tasks
As Operations Engineer China (m/f) – Plastics Engineering you will be responsible for all aspects concerning the implementation and development of the newly established factory in the area of Shanghai and therefore responsibly manage the start up production phase. That includes planning of plastic production sequences, validating the plants, supervision of technical staff and advisory services. Thereby your tasks cover:
- Ensuring the professional setting up of machinery and production processes according to plan and schedule
- Fully responsible for the starting up of operation and the validation of machineries and equipment
- Improvement of Engineering capacities in process design, process development, product application, product development
- Planning and supervision of projects, service, maintenance and repair
- Certification of new engineering processes as well as process optimization of the run production
- Documentation and improvement of implemented methods to ensure the high quality and efficiency
- Responsible for the technical know-how transfer as well as the training of the technical staff
- Ensuring the proper implementation of the company’s & customers’ specifications and quality standards
As Operations Engineer China (m/f) – Plastics Engineering you will also provide special and ad-hoc analyses for other divisions and the headquarters.
Your profile
The Position as Operations Engineer China (m/f) – Plastics Engineering demands a high level of professional engineering knowledge and a high degree of analytical flexibility. To perform successfully you should have:
- A Masters degree or PhD in engineering preferably with main focus on plastics or production engineering manufacturing technology
- At least 4 years of professional experience in plastics engineering in a multinational company
- Preferentially with experience in the operational start up of plants and processes
- Knowledge of process optimization, construction of tools or mold casting
- Experience in the field of validation / qualification and capability analyses
- Diversified coordination and project management skills
- Highly analytical skills and creative thinking with a result-oriented attitude
- Leadership and people management skills as well as intercultural competency
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Self independent, responsible and motivated with hands-on mentality
- English business fluent / Chinese or German language skills of advantage
